This Privacy Policy explains how RaceIt ("RaceIt," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the RaceIt mobile application, website, and related services (the "Services").

Information we collect

Account and profile information

We may collect your name, email address, profile photo, username, preferences, vehicle details, account identifiers, and content you choose to add to your profile.

Location and drive information

With your permission, RaceIt collects precise or approximate location, including background location during an active drive or when you enable live location sharing. We may derive routes, distance, duration, speed information, timestamps, and driving statistics from this data.

Friends and contacts

If you choose contact discovery, the app processes normalized contact details and sends protected hashes to our service to look for matches. We do not need to upload your full address book to perform matching. You can decline contact access and still use other parts of RaceIt.

Social, voice, and safety information

We process friend relationships, group-drive participation, invitations, blocks, reports, and messages or other content you submit. Voice data used in a live voice room is transmitted to provide the conversation and is not intentionally recorded by RaceIt.

Device, usage, and purchase information

We may collect device and app version, language, diagnostics, push-notification tokens, feature interactions, subscription entitlement status, and transaction identifiers supplied by Apple. Apple processes your payment details; RaceIt does not receive your full payment-card number.

How we use information

• Provide accounts, drive recording, maps, history, statistics, friends, live location, group drives, voice rooms, challenges, and subscription features.
• Authenticate users, sync data, deliver notifications, and remember preferences.
• Maintain safety, prevent abuse and fraud, investigate reports, and enforce our Terms.
• Diagnose errors, protect the Services, and improve performance and features.
• Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.

Location sharing choices

Live location is shared only according to your in-app settings and permissions. You can pause sharing, limit who can see you, end an active drive, or change iOS Location Services permissions at any time. Background permission is optional, but some active-drive and live-sharing functions may not work without it.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information to friends or group participants according to the choices you make; to hosting, database, maps, communications, notification, customer-support, and analytics providers that process data for us; to Apple for subscriptions and platform functions; during a business transaction; or when required for legal compliance, security, or protection of rights. We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for cross-app advertising tracking.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. Retention periods vary based on data type, user settings, security needs, and legal obligations. You may request account deletion in the app where available or by contacting us. We may retain limited records when required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or law.

Security and international processing

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise these rights; we may need to verify your identity.

Children

RaceIt is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information improperly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services or law change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
